REVIEW: (extracted from

- written by Alan Hofmanis)
"The adventures of D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers have
captivated audiences for over one hundred-fifty years; what child
has not heralded the call, "All for one and one for all?"
With delightful bravado Young Blades answers the burning question:
How did it all begin?
Director Mario Andreacchio has imbued Young Blades with all the
magic expected of a Saturday matinee, while striving to give these
timeless characters a contemporary edge. The result is a rousing
adventure film of surprising freshness at once modern in tone and
worthy of comparison to the classic swashbuckling epics of the past.
Starring Ben Cross (as the devilish Cardinal Richelieu) amidst an
impressive cast of newcomers, Young Blades is a treat for the whole
family and guaranteed to inspire a new generation of fans of the
Alexander Dumas classic."
IMAGES: 1) Emblazoned with the minuscule (get your magnifying
glasses out) tagline: "RAW, RECKLESS and READY FOR ACTION!"
(then again it could be 'ruthless') 2) The four leads, unfortunately
no Richard and 3) French poster, still no news on video, cable or
cinema release in any other countries.
